Skills Training

Being an artist collective, we have a range of skills we love to share with others. Our skills training work can be practiced through our workshops, Schools projects and our CACTI. Yes, we are still practicing and enjoy exploring other avenues of creativity and we endeavour to continuously broaden our perspectives through continued professional development. If you would like further information about our Skills Training programmes, please get in touch through our enquiry tab to arrange a time for a chat.

Current Projects

Community Arts & Crafts Training Initiative

Our CACTI project began in 2018 and is delivered by our resident Artists & Crafters, working in their artistic practices to empower communities through the reintroduction of traditional arts and crafts skills, encouraging experimentation, growing confidences in gaining new areas of expertise and possibly igniting some old ones that may lead to employability and self-employment. However, just having a routine and social interaction while accessing your creativity has many benefits including social inclusion, community cohesion, growth, active healthy living and co creating.

School Project S 3/4

Our school's project has been running since 2018 when we began to engage with our local schools here in South Ayrshire. We offer an alternative to academic education by providing 4 specialties to choose from. Riverside Studios - Future Upcycling, Creative Fields – Outdoor Management, FluXXWorks - Engineering Innovation, Soundmagic - Sound & Music Technology. We work in collaboration with our Stakeholders at South and East Ayrshire Councils. As a team we aim to provide functional links to employment, self-employment or further training.

Garden Arts Project - Lochside Community Gardens

The Garden Arts Project. Working with local children from Braehead Primary to design and paint a 10ft Metal Container for storage of garden equipment, which is situated within the Community Garden area at Lochside Community Centre. With the added help of the Community Garden Group we have enjoyed working outside in the sunshine.
